I'm Helen, a UKSOC qualified wedding and family celebrant based in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I create handcrafted, deeply personal ceremonies for people who want something entirely their own — not a template, not inherited traditions unless you genuinely want them. Just ceremony that feels completely, unapologetically you.
I came to celebrancy with 20 years of experience in education working with people through life's challenging and milestone moments — grief, transitions, major life changes, celebrations. That background shaped how I approach what I do: with genuine warmth, creative thinking, and a belief that meaningful moments deserve space to breathe.
My own wedding in May 2026 became my proof of concept. Married on a Dubrovnik cliff with a ceremony I designed entirely around our story — handfasting cords I made myself, an order of service created specifically for us, even my husband’s waistcoat handmade. Zero templated moments. It was perfect precisely because it was entirely ours. That experience confirmed what I'd always believed: when you take time to really understand a couple's story and design ceremony around it, something shifts. People feel genuinely seen.
I work across West Yorkshire and beyond. I'm comfortable working with couples, families, and individuals from all backgrounds, beliefs, and circumstances. Whether you're planning a wedding, naming ceremony, life transition, vow renewal, or a celebration you have entirely made up — I'm here to listen, understand, and create something that reflects who you actually are.
I combine warmth with professionalism. I listen deeply. I ask the questions that matter. And I create ceremonies where every word, every ritual, every handcrafted element has been chosen because it means something real to you.
Your ceremony should feel like coming home to yourself, not like performing someone else's script.
